You want fantastic photos of your loved ones.
When the dust of your life settles they’re one of the only things you’ll have to look back on and remind you of the times represented in the images.
There seems to be a plethora of photographers around nowadays. How do you know who to choose?
Go through the steps below to decide if I’m the right photographer for you, and what to expect during the process.
Step 1: Do you like my work?
Browse through my portfolio galleries and spend some time exploring my site.
My style is soft and clean, with a mixture of both posed and lifestyle photography. We all love the formal pictures hanging above the mantle, but I also want you to be able to look back and remember what it felt like during that time in your life. Looking at your images should make you feel like you’re stepping back in time and reliving the fondest moments of your life.
I want to capture the true emotions and relationships that exist between the most precious people in your life. My style of shooting helps you relax and be yourself in front of the camera so that those candid and intimate moments can be captured.
If you like what you see and think I’d be a good fit for you, continue to Step 2.
If not, that’s okay. I wish you the best with your family and encourage you to keep searching for a photographer whose style is more suited to you, as you definitely want to love the photos that will forever represent this time in your life!
Step 2: Tell me about yourself and your family.
I’m thrilled you like my work! Now I need to hear from you. Hop on over to my Contact Form and send me a message!
I’ll get back to you as quickly as I can to let you know if I’m available for your session and send you my entire pricing guide to look over.
Step 3: give me a call.
I am located in Maple Ridge, BC and would love to chat with you about what you’re looking for in your session. We can even meet over coffee to really get to know each other before your session arrives.
We’ll discuss what you hope to get out of the session, where you’d like to have your photos taken, what you plan to do with your images after they’re developed, and make sure you have exactly what you are looking for with your family or newborn/maternity photography.
Step 4: Decide to work with me!
You won’t regret it. I’m thoughtful and relaxed, and I put in the extra effort to make sure your photos are amazing.
Step 5: send in your signed contract and retainer fee.
I don’t hold dates until I have your contract and session retainer fee, so take care of this right away so that you don’t lose your date to another family. I only take on a very limited amount of newborn sessions each month, so this step is particularly important if you’re expecting a baby, or if you need your session to be at a specific time (birthday, Christmas, etc.)
Once I have those two things, you’re officially booked!
Now that was easy, wasn’t it?
after your session: viewing and ordering appointment, IF PRINT PRODUCTS ARE DESIRED
After we’ve captured your images and I’ve completed editing them, we’ll set up a time to meet so you can see your amazing photos and decide which products will best fulfill the vision you have for them. This is best done at your home, as I have a program that lets me use the areas in your home you want to display your new artwork so that you can see exactly what it will look like on your walls. If meeting at your home won’t work, you can also send me pictures of where you’re wanting to place wall art and I can input them into my program that way.
If you still have questions, check out my FAQ section, or send me a message using my contact form and I’ll be glad to help in any way I can. I love the families I work with and in order to serve them exceptionally well I limit the amount of sessions I book, so don’t delay in contacting me.
