A Wedding in the Woods {Maple Ridge Wedding Photography}

I won’t lie, this was a VERY different session for me.  Weddings aren’t my niche, so when Tamara approached me about photographing hers and Allan’s, I was…hesitant.  I may have even pointed them in the direction of another wedding photographer, or 5 ;).  But she eventually came back to me and said that they really wanted me, so I agreed to meet with them at their chosen location and see how things went.  I drove out to the frisbee golf course at Thornhill Hall and introduced myself to them, and immediately knew that the arrangement was going to work out quite well :)

Tamara and Al are a lovely couple!  Very casual and relaxed, and so natural, which made the location they chose for their ceremony just perfect.  A small opening amongst a canopy of trees, with gorgeous sunlight peeking through.wedding in the woods

A small gathering of their closest family and friends assembled to witness the joyous occasion, and then Tamara was escorted by her father down one of the most beautiful aisles that nature could provide.Maple Ridge wedding photographyMaple Ridge, BC wedding

The vows and ring exchanges at weddings are always some of my favorite parts, and this wedding was no different.  The love and adoration that Tamara and Al have for each other was more than apparent, and such a pleasure to witness and a privilege to document.wedding vowsexchange of rings
